Cost: There is no cost to participate except how you choose to extend the theme in your business.

Charity Tie-in: Giving Joy (givingjoy.org) provides micro grants to strengthen women entrepreneurship worldwide.

Wonderful Wellesley Wreaths

The Garden Clubs of Wellesley are creating 20 beautifully designed wreaths: a central icon in the campaign!

To qualify for the chance to have one, commit to this:

  • Share with us your plans to extend the spring theme with your business and marketing
  • Display the wreath on your door
  • Use the “Wellesley in Bloom” name in your marketing
  • Display signage regarding how shoppers can register for a chance to win one of the 20 wreaths
  • Be open to Giving Joy reaching out regarding possible fundraising ideas

Gift Guide

We are promoting a Gift Guide, perfect timing ahead of Mother’s Day.

A limited number of slots are available on a first come, first served basis.

Requirements:
 

  • Three (3) items at different price points
  • One line of copy
  • One square photo
  • One URL to your website

Tie-in with Giving Joy

Giving Joy, our non-profit partner, provides micro grants to women entrepreneurs worldwide to help them establish or improve their businesses.

Founder Joy Kolin is a native of Somerville with 20 years of experience working with international organizations in project design and management, living and working in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

Other Ways to Participate

Use the name: Spring in Bloom and plan your store activations from May 3-11. Examples:

  • Kick-off day May 3 or 4 with a unique customer offer (e.g. pick a flower for your surprise)
  • Create your own wreath that reflects your brand (e.eg. a make-up store add lipstick cases, a toy store miniture teddy bears, a bookstore adds tiny books 
  • Serve flowered tea or a flowery beverage
  • Decorate store windows, feature florals for apparel and accessories
  • Wear florals to receive a 10% discount
  • Invite your best customers to a tea party for exclusive offers; make it your charity event tied to Giving Joy charity
  • Adapt the creative to match your brand for your website, eblasts and social posts
  • Artist in Residence: collaborate for display and/or in-person

Guidelines for Making Your Own Wreath

The wreath below is an example of the 20 wreaths which will be made by the Garden Clubs of Wellesley, each 24″ in diameter. Please use your creativity with these specs. in mind:

  • Recommended dimensions: 24″ – 26″ (while considering the dimensions of your door or space where you’ll hang it)
  • Be creative in how it reflects your brand
  • Purchase a suction cup LIKE THIS to adhere to door
