Church Square, a historic shopping center located in downtown Wellesley, is proud to celebrate its 100th anniversary this year. Since 1923, Church Square has been a beloved gathering place for the Wellesley community, offering a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and services.
To commemorate this momentous occasion, Church Square hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Charles River Regional Chamber of Commerce on Friday, May 19, at 3:30 PM in front of EA Davis by Mahi Gold.
“We are honored to celebrate our 100th anniversary and grateful to the Wellesley community for their support over the past century,” said Olive Mawyer, Marketing Manager of Church Square. “Church Square has always been more than just a shopping center – it’s a gathering place where people can come together to shop, dine, and connect with their neighbors. We look forward to continuing to serve the Wellesley community for many years to come.”
Church Square has undergone many changes over the years but has always remained a cornerstone of downtown Wellesley. Today, it features over 13 shops and restaurants, including national retailers, local boutiques, and unique specialty stores.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, Church Square will be partnering with local charities and organizations to give back to the community that has supported it for 100 years.
Church Square invites everyone in the Wellesley community to join in the celebration of its 100th anniversary. For more information, visit Church Square’s website at www.shopchurchsquarewellesley.com or email shopchurchsquare@gmail.com.
